Registered Pesticide Permit Session

Are you interested in using 1080 products to control vertebrate pests on your property?

A registered pesticide permit (RPP) authorises landholders on 20 hectares or more to use 1080 for the control of foxes, feral pigs and rabbits. Obtaining an RPP can take a little bit of effort, but permits are generally issued for 3-5 years and can be renewed easily after that.

Between September 21-25, you can make an in-person appointment with Lacey, our Feral Animal Program Officer, to receive one-on-one support to complete your RPP application.

Do you have weeds you're not sure how to treat? Or are you unsure if what you're looking at is even a weed? 

Come along to a weed identification event in November, where we will look at your photos or samples and help you identify plants and discuss the best treatment for weeds on your property.

Practical Rabbit Control

Learn effective, coordinated control methods and have a go with our free loan equipment. You'll be able to take it home with you on the day!  Four workshops will be held at four different locations across the Peel-Harvey region during November.

Fox Control for the Small Landholder (<20HA)

Calling all our smaller landholders to a morning chatting all about fox control.  All methods of fox control available to smaller landholders will be covered, including information on fox behaviour and biology, which helps to significantly improve control success.

Fox cage traps will be available to loan - please indicate if you would like to loan a trap on the day.

Expression of interest

Let us know if you'd be interested in coming along to a hands-on feral pig trapping workshop designed to give landholders the practical skills and confidence to improve their trapping success. 

We’ll demonstrate a simple, effective trap design and cover the key considerations for setting up, pre-feeding and managing a trap to maximise your chances of catching the whole mob.
